Welcome to Puerto Rico!

After we get checked in and settled, we're heading out to experience San Juan's nightlife and take in the culture. This night is entirely up to the group, we can go restaurant or bar hopping, take a stroll, sightsee, etc.

Our last day is spent with a delicious group breakfast on the resort, before we head to our salsa lessons, taught by an expert salsa dancer. After we work up a sweat from learning salsa, we'll end it off with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, feel free to take the time to explore on your own, go back to the resort and rest and have a beach day.

Today, we explore Old San Juan & Loizo Town. We start  in Old San Juan learning about its history, unique forts, impressive architecture and admiring its blue cobblestones streets and charming colorful houses. After Old San Juan, we head to the picturesque town of Loíza, Capital of PR's African Tradition. Start with a beautiful coastal drive and authentic lunch at the beachfront kiosks of Piñones. Later, we meet a renowned painter and learn about our Bomba Afro-Caribbean music

1. Everyone, including BTW staff, needs to have a COVID test taken within 72 hours of your departure, with negative results. This is mandatory and non-negotiable. This is not only a requirement for BTW, but is so for many countries who are welcoming you into their homeland, despite the state of the world right now. You will need to submit proof of your test (indicating name and date test was taken) on the day of your departure.

2. The villa or hotel will be deep cleaned and sanitized in preparation for our arrival. We are working very closely with our vendors and suppliers to ensure that the place we will be calling home for a few days is completely safe for our group.

3. Hand sanitizer & a mask will be provided to each traveler during the duration of the trip.

4. Travel Insurance is mandatory for every traveler, with minimum of $50,000 in medical coverage, in case you get covid abroad. The policy MUST cover Covid as an illness. With the state of travel so up in the air and COVID leaving everything unpredictable, the best way to protect your travel investments is to purchase travel insurance. Particularly cancel for any reason travel insurance, so you are protected in the case of emergency or unforeseen circumstances.
